Overview

The term “Do dham” refers to the four sacred pilgrimage sites in Hinduism, located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. These four sites are:

KEDARNATH: This site is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (divine light) in Hinduism. Kedarnath is nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas and is famous for the Kedarnath Temple, which is believed to have been built by the Pandavas.

BADRINATH: Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Badrinath Temple, also known as Badrinarayan Temple, is an important pilgrimage site and is one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu.

The Do dham pilgrimage holds immense spiritual significance for Hindus, and many devotees undertake this journey to seek blessings and spiritual purification. The pilgrimage season typically starts in late April or early May and lasts until November, as the region becomes inaccessible during the winter months due to heavy snowfall.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: DELHI – HARIDWAR (DRIVE 230 KM)

Upon arrival at New Delhi airport/railway station, meet our representative & start your journey to Haridwar. Check into the hotel. In the evening, visit Har Ki Pauri and witness the Ganga Aarti. Overnight stay at Haridwar. (Meals: Dinner)

DAY 2: HARIDWAR – GUPTKASHI (DRIVE 220 KM)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Guptkashi. Enroute, enjoy the scenic beauty of the Mandakini river at Tilwara. The Mandakini river originates from Kedarnath. Drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi and visit Ardh Narishwar Temple. Check into the hotel upon arrival in Guptakashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi. (Meals: Breakfast & Dinner)

DAY 3: GUPTKASHI - SONPRAYAG – KEDARNATH (DRIVE 30 KM, TREK 14 KM)

After breakfast, embark on your journey to Kedarnath. You have two options to reach Kedarnath: trekking or by Air via Helicopter (at your own cost). Upon reaching Kedarnath, visit the Kedarnath Temple and Shankaracharya Samadhi. Check into the hotel/ashram. Overnight stay at Kedarnath. (Meals: Breakfast)

DAY 4: KEDARNATH - SONPRAYAG – GUPTKASHI (TREK 14 KM, DRIVE 30 KM)

After breakfast, explore the nearby areas of Kedarnath by walk. Later, return to Guptkashi by trekking or Helicopter as per your choice. Upon arrival, check into the hotel in Guptakashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi. (Meals: Dinner)

DAY 5: GUPTKASHI - JOSHIMATH – BADRINATH (DRIVE 220 KM)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Upon arrival, check into the hotel in Badrinath. Pilgrims can have a bath in the Taptkund and have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Overnight stay at Badrinath. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

DAY 6: BADRINATH - JOSHIMATH – RUDRAPRAYAG (DRIVE 160 KM)

After breakfast, drive for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Visit VishuPrayag, Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, KarnPrayag, and NandPrayag en route. Check into the hotel upon arrival in Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

DAY 7: RUDRAPRAYAG – RISHIKESH (DRIVE 150 KM)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Rishikesh. On the way, visit Dev Prayag. Check into the hotel in Rishikesh. In the evening, visit Triveni Ghat for the Ganga Aarti. Overnight stay at Rishikesh. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

DAY 8: RISHIKESH – DELHI (DRIVE 240 KM)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Delhi. Drop at Delhi Hotel/Airport/railway station. (Meals: Breakfast)
